Since 1999, Inner Vision has the privilege of delivering motivational keynote addresses to students worldwide. We have reached tens of thousands of students with our dynamic presentations. We have also received rave reviews from numerous school districts.

Inner Vision's passion for working with young people sparked the development of mentoring program within the Chicago Public Schools System. The program entailed weekly motivational mentoring sessions with 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students at Corliss High School, one of Chicago's most challenging high schools. Our program was instrumental in helping Corliss High School achieve the highest test scores, attendance, and graduation rates than in the previous ten years. This success prompted a meeting with the President of Chicago's Board of Education where Inner Vision was challenged to duplicate Corliss' results. We accepted the challenge with the understanding that a real commitment was required from the schools, families, and community partners.
 

The following year, our program was placed in the most academically challenged middle schools: the Academic Preparatory Centers. These centers consisted of high risk eighth grade students. Inner Vision was given the enormous task of helping the APC’s increase their graduation rates above 45%.  By the end of year one, we exceeded our goal. The graduation rate increased from 45% to 73% in year one and by year three the graduation rates exceeded 83%. 
 

We designed our program to improve the longevity of impact experienced within the schools and the communities we serve. Upon evaluation of our program, we realized that motivational keynote addresses and mentoring alone were not enough. In order to achieve lasting results, we needed to develop a consistent program with clear learning objectives and measurable outcomes that would meet the ever changing, yet specific, needs of the students in their communities. We needed a curriculum.
 

Inner Vision decided to develop a dynamic and relevant curriculum for urban youth. We utilized the insight of our students, highly qualified professionals with varied expertise as well as educational consultants to create a curriculum that would encourage discussion and foster learning, hence, The Vision® was born.
 

The Vision® is the first of its kind. Our curriculum speaks to the dynamic needs of today's student with twenty-eight powerful thematic workshops such as: Time Management, The Power of Words, First impressions, Test Taking Strategies, Conflict Resolutions, etc. Inner Vision's goal is to equip students with necessary life skills that will empower them to become responsible leaders.
